A Blessed Christmas

I am trully blessed and surrounded with nice people, great friends and family members.
This Christmas indeed was so much greater than I expected. I thought I couldn't enjoy at all, but I did (although inside I still feel a lil' heavy n stressed with my job).

Went to mom's place before meeting bro.

I had a great time with my bro, Sis-In-Law, nephew Wilfred together with Meow at Ingolf's Kneipe. Initiallly, we went to Vintage Bulgaria. We were early (6pm), it was unplanned as my bro called me last minute to meet up at Island Plaza. So, we thought of having something before I meet up my dance gang for Shawn's Farewell (to US for 6 months - job training) cum Christmas celebration.

The place look cozy, I mean... Vintage Bulgaria, unfortunately, for Christmas, they only have set meals of 2 choices. And we cannot order ala-carte. So, we apologised to the waiter and went next door to Ingolf instead. We had to sit at the counter and all tables were reserved. No problem. Meow and I shared a cream soup and Fruits Salad.

Shared with Koko on our job challenges and stress. Am surprised and glad that Wilfred talked more matured now. He's very active in badminton and wished for a branded Racket....cost from 3 figures, up to 4 figures...good luck to his dad, hahaha.

7pm, we meet at 'No Eyed Deer' - another nice, warm and cozy restaurant. Food is great too.
I ordered Seafood Platter while Meow had the Jumbo Vienna Sausage Set. Nice. Pao Siang ordered British Fish Pie Set, taste good too. I tried Peter's Char-grilled Aromatic Duck Fillet Set nice also. Liana ordered Lamb but I didn't try. Susu, Shawn, Tracy and her daughter seated further, so a bit difficult to communicate as we were seated with few tables joined. Mel and Joshua shared Jumbo Vienna Sausage. There are a lot more yummy sets to choose from the menu.

Peter entertained her boy with his new sophisticated 'gasing' while the rest of us were busy with either the cameras or conversations.

We took some photos. Tracy's daughter also chipped in as the nite's photographer. So cute of her to snap individual's photo. We had group photo with our cute and delicious Gingerbread man made by Mel (Mei Shya) and again with our presents after the gift exchange session.

After dinner, we adjourned to Straits Quay (10pm) - a new shopping mall with long stretch of shop lots at Tanjong Tokong. More photos again... Meow and I then proceed to his friend's house for BBQ gathering, reached there slightly after 11pm. Had more food....not much la, I had 1 burnt chicken wing, few meatballss and short sausages. The guys played card while Meow watched them. I watched Astro and then stared at an interesting art piece on the wall...a modern abstract. Very captivating...at first glance, I saw an office overlooking a big glass pane, however...when I look longer....I see a woman waiting for someone at a harbour, a bottle of wine, a glass and a cigarette to indicate the long waiting moment. Too bad I didn't snap the photo. I could stare at it all day.

We left at 2am, I was getting tired as I slept late the nite before, or should I say morning (5am till 11am).

I am glad I had quite an interesting and full day of Christmas, full of events and friends around me.

So blessed and Praised the Lord.

Space on the Floor + MP4...

Today out of the blues... I suggested to Meow I wanna follow him to badminton court...a place where I would not be seen usually, not in so many years. Why ? Well, it's stuffy (no wind, no air-cond). I can suffocate eh.

Well, I got myself equipped, not with badminton racquet but a book and my MP4 player. Haha !

2 hours there...1st 15 mins... I munched away chips and Chickadee...hungry ma, no time to eat dinner. Next 20 mins...listened to my favourite songs.... damn, I then realised 80% of my songs are Rhumba songs. I was dancing in my mind...slowly my shoulders and head started to move, bit by beat...haha.

What else? I stood up...did very minor figure 8 moves....then next I knew...Time Step...and there I was... like a crazy gal... dancing away at a corner of the badminton court, totally ignorant to the ppl around. I had a good 45 mins 'workout'. I was sweating more than most of his colleagues. I wished I had brought along spare clothes to change and my ballet shoes (which I wear for practices - when my feet hurt).

I felt good coz I get to dance to my favourite songs. But the price for it? Blisters on my feet, ouch!

It's so hard to refrain from dancing when u see space on the floor, esp. wood parquet.... :P

Oops! I forgot I should rest for at least few days after my bone-setting session last nite ! Whole body's alignment - out.

When hope is frail...

Does time heal?

When they say time will heal...does time really heal? How much time is needed ? How long do we need to wait? How long can we wait?

I don't think time heals...to me, it's the situation that heals. U can wait forever but things may not change. But if you choose to do something and take action, then you will see changes...hopefully for better.

Often, we do not have patience. With time, we might lose patience and interest. Sometimes, we get tired of waiting...so we give up or look for something better. After all, we seek for happiness...so why torture ourselves and go through the pain when we can have something better?

Well... some things are just hard to explain. It's what your heart really want...though your mind says another thing. Only you YOURSELF know what you really want. Only you know what makes you happy. Go for what makes you happy, try your best knowing you will not regret...rather than guess the outcomes of the 'what-ifs' later.

However, after you have tried and tried but the result is not what we you desired, perhaps it's time to move on. Perhaps, it's not meant to be. Perhaps, you are not appreciated. Perhaps you've been taken for granted. Perhaps... you deserve something/someone better.

So...waste no more time...for time does not wait for us... happiness is in our hands... Let go of the past and look forward to a better tomorrow.

Learn to forgive those who do not appreciate us, those who betrayed us, those who cheated on us, those who used us, those who misunderstood us, those who were unkind to us...forgive them just as God forgive us. Be at peace and you will find yourself at higher level and much happier state.

...and I am still lost...depressed...trying my best to stay positive. Many things happened last few months...too much to cope, too much to handle.

No one's sure what's gonna happen next. I can only pray for better.

We human always take things for granted. We forget to appreciate, we like to assume and we have this bad habit thinking we are always right. Then it's too late when we realised...when consequences turned out the way we least expected.

However, there's still hope, if u are willing to make things better. Do not blame others, listen and try to understand why things happened, why they did that...why things didn't work. Most of the time, both parties are at fault. But neither willing to admit and always hoping the other would change.

Love should be unconditional. Love involves a lot of patience and understanding. I hope it's never too late for everyone to understand their other half and make things better.

I have several complicated n failed relationships... I guess it must be my attitude and behaviour. I hope I can redeem myself and make things better in future.

I can only pray to God now for his blessings, I just want happiness and good health. I pray the same for you and all.

Oh dear! What a shame…almost forgotten and abandoned my blog. Been such a long time and it’s almost year end now. In fact, it’s going to be Quarter end again for me at work. A lot of things have changed (at least it seems so in my mind) but perhaps to others, I am still the same, still always busy with work and dance. Still crazy and cheerful, still tired n moody at times, still forgetful and sleepy most of the time….ya…still same old me.

So many things…but I cannot spill them out. I’m having this very mixed feelings. I just wonder, when you are happy and yet you are unhappy, what does it make u feel ? Confused? I guess so. But not really, I am pretty sure, just that I’m afraid or maybe I want to observe longer…buying time, being cautious perhaps…I cannot explain. I wish to but I just can’t ! Only can pray for His Guidance…Lord, pls show me your ways, teach me your paths; guide me in your truth and tach me, for you are God my Saviour, and my hope is in your all day long. (Psalm 25:5, NIV) Amen!

It's been so long....so so long that I hardly remember to blog liao. Getting lazy and busy as well. Not to say...I dun even read blogs.

So, new year...some had made new resolutions but me ? Hmm...nah... I dun and had never made any. I tend to act more on my feelings and wants (that explains on many of my unnecessary purchases, my dad complained I bought too many sandals, ueek~~!). Oh...not forgetting the dozens of clothes... (still can wear and some, hopefully can wear again - provided I manage to shed off few more kilos in .....5 yrs time?)

Hahaha....I doubt I ever can...but last year wasn't bad. I did shed off some kilos, and indeed, some clothes had waited like 4 yrs for me. Haha, was glad I didn't throw / give them away. Normally, I dun buy clothes according to trend...so still can recycle la. But seriously, I need to housekeep my cupboard again (the last time was last month). Now the doors can hardly close. But..really sayang those clothes...I think I need to give them away and come to reality I own way too many clothes which I dun wear anymore. Then, I will have more space, more room for MORE clothes, muahahahaha ~~!!

Now I need to find time to clear it...so can shop :)

But wait....when to shop ? Quarter end again and I need support during CNY...so so no mood.

It’s been a while …. quite a long time in fact….somehow I kind of lost the mood to update my blog. When I first started to blog, I felt I had so much to express. Maybe b’coz at that time I have too much bottled inside me. I had things I couldn’t let go, I had worries, I couldn’t comfort myself, sometimes lost, sometimes undecided. So I guess blogging was the best way for me to release.

Now, I have so many things going for me. I have my dancing, my life…I am spending more time to relax, doing things I enjoy, catching up with friends once in a while my handicraft…kind of guilty that I sort of neglected my beads for about half year while I spend time improving my dancing skills. It’s my number 1 passion for now.

Of coz, I still am busy with my work but I have learnt to be more relaxed, to think more positively. I used to be upset when ppl criticized me or when things do not turn out the way I wanted. But I am glad that I have matured in my thinking. Sometimes I am quite surprised with myself, how I am able to provide comforting words and motivation to friends who needed an ear or guidance. I am simply thankful for this gift.

Last quarter end, I was very busy with work, it was that busy moments where I had issues, backlogs, boss chasing for reports, etc…when I received a call from someone whom I least expected. That call was not someone saying hello. My colleagues could hear me changing from laughing tone to serious tone. Immediately after the call, I was able to adjust myself to normal mode, still smiling and back to work. If this was to happen few years ago, I would have exploded. But nope, I kept my cool because I know I am not guilty and I somehow pity those who have nothing better to do than gossip about the untruthful things.

You people who are too free and with nothing better to do, go ahead and accuse or spread rumours. I am fine…in fact, I was surprised with myself for being able to laugh it off…you can raise your voice at me, point fingers at me and I don’t give a damn. I am not guilty of all those accusations and I am not free to bother about all those nonsense stuff. My workload was more than enough for me and to be in that hectic situation and hearing your accusations and yadaa yadaa….haha…boy, I was really surprised why you would think I am still interested to talk about things that does not matter to me anymore.
If you have not done it you shall not be worried about it….it’s ppl’s choice…their mouth…we cannot control them, so let them be. As long as I know I am of clear conscience, God is always with me.

I have always prayed for your happiness. I sincerely wish you find the right one. It doesn’t matter if we cannot remain as friends. It matters not what you think of me, it matters not what others think of me…what matters most is what I think of myself and same for you, you are who you are, believe in yourself and always have positive mindset. You are in control. Be happy always.

May God bless those who are still in blur…lead them to the right path, comfort them and give them peace. Thank you for Your Blessings, Amen !

Dance Dance Dance

I just realised this morning that I almost forgot I own this blog….totally forgot abt my blog for almost one month.

What to do…I am busy preparing for my dance competition this Sunday.

It's the 6th National Ballroom Dancing Championship at Penang Che Koon Hor Moral Uplifting Society (Macalister Road)
4pm - night.
Day event is free.
Night event - for those finalists….have to buy ticket (comes with dinner).

Anyway, I have quite nervous this time.
New partner…we only have our 5th lesson yesterday and tomorrow will be our 6th lesson. Yup, only 6 lessons and off we go for competition.

And to top it off….we dun have lessons for our Jive, time constraint la….so, we focus more on our Cha Cha Cha and Rhumba. So Jive, we just hentam and do our best la.

I am now down with flu….chia lat or not?

3 weeks ago, I sprained my right ankle and was limping for 3 days. My ankle was swollen…no thanks to jungle trekking during our team building. Duh !!

The moment I sprained my ankle, I was almost crying….nope, the tears not for the pain, but for the fear of not being able to dance !!

Last night, I wasn't in my best condition, I was pale and already seeing stars. I had to stop for few times. I must remind myself to take dinner b4 dance.

Today, with my running nose and a little swollen ankle and cramps on my legs and knee, I just pray to God that all these will not deter me from giving a good 'performance' for our dance rehearsal and great show on the actual day…not forgetting my arthritis pain is most of the time unbearable….but nope, I am not giving up dancing for sure, at least not so soon.

Oh…I am actually quite stressed….that my menses not here yet and it's too late now…I just hope it will come only after competition, pls pls pls !! U cannot imagine how weak I feel during the first 2 days of my TYM (Tai Yee Ma - nick name for period). I hope TYM visits me next week. Then I will feel very blessed. Thank You God.

Wow, I didn't realised I abandoned my blog for more than a month. Pai seh ! I was really busy with quarter end last month. Then right after that, had to go for dance competition the next day. I was deprived of sleep on the last week of Qtr end...some days I slept 2 hours, I think that week, I slept less than 20 hours a day.

Actually, I don't have to torture myself...but my role transitioned to another colleague since a quarter ago. I wanted to but I can't just let go like that n let the backlog numbers shoot high up. Since can't force, I have to do it lo. Every night have to monitor till late, working with production and calling Option/Shipping team to quickly pack & manifest those urgent orders, otherwise flights/vessle will be missed and there would be no second chance. Yup, it was indeed very critical. You have no choice unless you are the type who don't care or not responsible enough. In our team, everyone has to have two very important characteristics : Sense of Urgency & Sense of Responsibility. And with my added roles, I felt even more responsible. At the same time, stress levels added up coz need to prepare additional mgt reports every now and then.

I had hard time controlling my temper, you can't imagine at those stressful moments, you are like working in share market, every second counts, multi-tasking skill is already something you should have mastered to be in our team.

You have to understand your work processes well...there will be ppl pressing / squeezing more from you, trying to get things any possible way...if you are not prepared and on top of your numbers/situation/status, that's it, everyone will be looking at you...blames on you....criticise or even get more from you.

It was like fighting in a war, yet at the same time I had to train...very tiring and really testing my patience. I was sure I had raised my voice, scolded my sales or anyone...be it my colleague, management ppl, whoever...anyone who dared to suggest stupidity at those critical moments, anyone who dared to challenge policies set, anyone who made impossible requests, anyone who demanded status/report at the wrong timing, anyone who did not pay attention and kept asking, anyone who has shown lack of support or urgency, anyone who takes me for granted...I can go on and on...but I guess you know I was really frustrated and still managed to kept cool...by still smiling, joking and laughing at those ppl who got onto my nerves.

Well, that's work life. At the end of the day, you cannot be too calculative. I dunno about other ppl, for me, I work for my company, for my management, for my team. I am truly satisfied that my effort is contribution to company's objectives and goals, towards achieving CE. That is how I keep myself motivated.

With the team expanded, u can see some changes. Not everyone is as dedicated as the older members. I just hope and wish that everyone in the team is helpful and continue to keep the team spirit alive.

Sushi King RM 2 Promo

Yesterday we (with my 2 other guy colleagues) join bunch on Kiasus for the Sushi King RM 2 per plate promo. Ya ya, if u still dunno, u have until this Thursday. We reached eGate’s Sushi King before 12 noon. Already some 10 ppl waiting outside. Brandon gave his name on the waiting list….so we waited, waited and we waited…ya, some 30 mins before we got our seats…not that strategic, but approximately 3 metres away from the few ‘chefs’ in the middle preparing for hungry and ‘tham-ciak’ Kiasus.

A lot of blue and pink colour plates circling the belt…looks like a lot of Kiasus waiting for red & purple colour plates. We saw 4 of 5 ladies, plus 2 men….waiting nearby the middle section where the Chefs were busy preparing sushi with Unagi and Salmon. We were really surprised to see how ‘boh kuan’ these ppl can be…the grabbed those plates even before reaching the belt. Like hungry piranhas, they compete and snatched. Hands out of nowhere, in between us, in front, from the side…compete to grab the plates….really scary. I thought we were attending ‘Por Tor’ dinner. Goodness! And to think these ppl are mostly from factory, white collared workers.

Well when situation forced…guess what? We too tried our luck and joined in the ‘attack’. Really pai seh, but then, who cares since everyone’s doing it ? Whose fault is it?
Sushi King la…who asked them to limit those plates? And these ppl will not go until they tasted and had their fair share of the more expensive stuff.

Gloomy Day

Love the weather today. Not sunny, no rain yet...little breeze. Some birds chirping away. My dogs dreaming away... everything look peaceful.

I feel a little lucky to enjoy these...although can't fully enjoy it with the discomfort I feel (TYM), some more dad is not feeling well, down with flu. He's taking nap now. I just finished checking mails, nearly 100 emails for 1st half of the day !! Dunno what sort of culture my company set...sigh !

I wanted to go back to bed...but probably not, the weather is nice to zzz but too nice to waste on sleep. Maybe will go back to my office emails in a while before I decide what to do. I really dislike feeling moody and lousy...sometime I wish I am a guy, no need to suffer every month. U guys are damn lucky. No tummy cramps, no worries abt staining yr pants, no backache, no need to fish out extra $ for pads, swim any day u like, dun have to calculate or check the calendar and bring extra pads when travelling, no waking up few times in the middle of the night to wash up (in case flood/tsunami on the bed), it's so so so convenient for the guys huh.

If there's ever a next life, I want to be a guy la. There's plenty of ladies for me to choose, haha. I don't have to worry too much about which dress / clothes to wear, whether my shoes or bags match or not.

If you have two flights on the same day, and if you’re thinking of flying via AirAsia, think again.

Yesterday, Meow received sms at 9pm+ from AirAsia informing his 1st flight from PEN to KUL delayed from 12:25noon to 2:05pm.
The SMS gave 3 numbers to contact for any enquiries or assistance.

So he called and called till the line went dead. Then I found this at the website :

Big problem ! Cos his 2nd flight from KUL to Phuket is at 3:20pm. And that is the last flight. With approx. 20 mins left to catch the connecting flight, he wouldn’t be able to make it. And worst, no flights available on Thurs. His training is on Thurs morning.

Frustrations, anguish and really KNS!!

Went through the internet, found a lot of negative reviews complaining on delays...delays...delays! Not helping to calm leh...blood pressure increasing liao!

Helped him check for earliest flight : 8:10am. So I told him, the only hopeful option is to take a gamble. Else, fly via MAS and have a hard time to explain to his company's mgt ... and claim for the ticket ?...that would be another problem.

So sleepy now, slept at 3am, woke up before 6am. Went to AirAsia counter. The agent seemed steady and cool when I explained the issue...like it's a norm. After listening to me, he just said "Oh, he can take the 8am flight, check in now".

I asked "No extra charge?" He said No.

If he said yes, I would lose my patience and cool. I will make sure Dato Tony Fernandes receives a 'love' email / letter from me.

Thief in the House

JJ I miss you

Was in KL last week. Saw JJ. He was happy to see us. But when we had to leave, he was so upset. He had his favourite orange ball in his mouth, hinting for us to play with him.

Then when he realised it didn't work...he went to sit at a corner, not wanting to come near us...even though I called him many times. He just looked at us with his sad eyes.

At that moment, my eyes went red...it was really emotional for me. I miss you JJ. He's a very obedient dog. I love U!

Bleeding Heart

I bought this plant from LPSM last 24 Feb, at the Upper Pg Road. It's called Bleeding Heart. In Mandarin, I think they call it 'Loong Choo' (Dragon's Pearl). I snapped the pix last night. The seller told me, once the flower blooms, it will drop off. Lucky thing I snapped it last night. This morning before I went out for work, indeed, the flower had dropped off. So fast !

But it was really beautiful.

It’s real sad to see we still have beggars, children begging at street, homeless ppl walking in dirty clothes, sleeping at bus stops, roadside, etc.

I still remember my China grandma hit by a motor more than 10 years ago. She had a broken neck and paralysed neck down. She couldn’t move and sent to GH. She did not survived long, less than a week…cause of death was Pneumonia. Her lungs were infected and full of water. Because there was not enough special beds (which can be adjusted to slant) for patients like her, the drips into her body had filled her lungs. I am very upset. It wasn’t the accident that killed her. And worst…the guy who knocked her, hit his head, had his head X-trayed. He was advised to go home, doctor said he was fine. 3 days later, he died due to blood clot in his head. What sort of standard do we have for health and medical care? Innocent ppl who had survival chances but their lives being gambled at the hands of our govt. ?

My grandma was a very strong woman, she came from China. I believe she could still be alive if not for the inadequate resources our medical centres have…and the guy, he could probably be attending some Ceramahs and enjoying coffee with his friends. And the innocent baby girl Yok Shan who lost her hand...she can never enjoy swimming, dancing, pool games, playing piano, etc without facing challenges. I pray that our country will be more caring, more people-oriented, more humane pls!

Well, I can.

But too bad, I cannot be with all the people I love at the same time. I can only choose to be with the person I love most...the person who care for me most. Who can accept me for who I am...whom I am comfortable to be with, whom I won't feel bored of...who is my friend, who is there for me when I need someone most....ya...that would be my choice.

Love can be divided. If u r to cut it into pieces like cake, I guess, some will be bigger pieces, some smaller.

There are some we like them for their character, personalities but seems like we r not fated together.

There are those who seems like ideal partner to be with but do not loves us enough to choose us...or cannot commit...or not ready....all those excuses.

Or there are those we think so perfect, so good but already attached or married...too bad.

19 Feb, 16 years ago...I was just 16 yrs old when the worst news hit me and my family.
As teenagers, my sis and I had the worst nightmare turned to reality. For my bro who was reaching adulthood, he struggled to stand strong. For my dad who was in mid-40’s and at the peak of his career, he didn’t expect the shocking news and reality of losing someone dear. For the whole family, no one could believe someone so bubbly, kind, helpful, loving would no longer be around.

My mom was dying of cancer…she knew she suffered from it for years but she kept silent. She was afraid no one would be there to take care of my grandmother who suffered from stroke. Who would bathe her, clean after her, feed her ? Who would cook for the family and the dogs? Who would wash the clothes? Who would iron the clothes? Who would keep the house clean? Who would clean the washroom? Noooo….she thought to herself… I can’t go away, not even for a single day…how can I be admitted for weeks? Not her son or daughters….they are too busy with their own work and activities…not my kids, they are still young and need to concentrate on studies, not any foreign worker, they don’t give the best care or attention…I must hold on…and help the family for as long as I can. I must serve my duties as faithful wife / daughter-in-law / sis-in-law.

Sometimes, mom missed her family so much, she cried in the room alone. Whenever she had the chance to go home to her family, she burst into tears…thinking of how unappreciative the others had been to her, how her MIL rushed her to go back to house chores, how the sour faces she had to deal with after visiting her own family. She had no one to turn to, no one could understand her pain...unbearable pain, so much that she prayed to God to help her….and I believe God did answer her prayers.

19 Feb, 1992, right at 12noon, God answered Mom’s prayers. No more pain, no more sufferings, no more chores till late night (that required 2 or 3 servants), no more crying, no more fear…all that was left … a beautiful smile. I remembered Mom called dad’s name 3 times before she drew her last breath. Everyone in the room broke down, crying out loud. I watched from the edge of her bed. Silently, my tears rolled down my cheeks for about 5 mins. Silently, I prayed and thanked God. I could feel sense of ‘relief’ and peace. No doubt, right after the nurses cleanse my Mom’s mouth from the cancerous liquid… I could see how happy and peaceful Mom looked. Her eyes… as though she was peeking at us…her lips ‘curved’ into a very peaceful smile. She looked as if she was having a sweet dream. Even at the funeral parlour, the caretaker lady told me that she has never seen such a beautiful corpse before. Very at ease to lay eyes on.

I did not shed a single tear throughout her wake service and funeral. I remember seeing dad, bro and sis crying out loud. I told myself to be strong, I had to be strong, I have to be there to support them emotionally. I know Mom is at peace. I am happy for her. Thank you God for bringing Mom with you. Thank you for leaving us with all the wonderful memories. May she always be happy and peaceful in Heaven, Amen!

Finally the rush is over for the closing of quarter end.
But I still need to update management on the backlog numbers.

I thought it would be a better quarter in the sense can go home earlier. It was good enough that I did not have to work till 5am this Qtr. Last Qtr I worked till early morning. Last nite, I could log off at 3am. Had 4 hours sleep, had been sleeping few hours only for whole month.

Well...no thanks to Sales downloading last min (as usual la) and forwarder not aware and unable to pick up due to no warehouse to store....a lot of negotiations, calls, arguement, etc....
Rude ppl, rude mgr, brainless ppl...all u can see... of coz they are also nice ppl, helpful ones, responsible and committed ones.... Thank God for these angels.

Mary, WY and myself stayed till 11.30pm before we went for our late dinner at Teluk Bayan. Poor Mary forgot to shift her car from the back carpark....(stupid mgt set new rules...car park close at 9pm!!). Ah Juice (WY's bf) came to fetch us, they helped Mary to get security to unlock the gate while I finished off my last few reports.

Meow came to meet me...he din eat coz meeting Sloz, Ronnie and Eric for supper. He dropped me home first, I really tired n need to shower.
Logistics guy call me...got hope for an almost confirmed backlog....I shower...log on to work again....

Sat will be sleeping till late...but not very late coz need to send reports to mgt. Sigh....boh pien la. I will catch up on my sleep before CNY.

Just came back from 1 week vacation in KL, stayed at Meow's sister's place in Damansara...10 mins walk to The Curve. Had a great time there with close friends, old friends, swimming with dogs, shopping, eating like 4 times a day, so much walking....jwatching fireworks from her house, great view, everything's just great !! I should do this at least once a year.

However, payback stress - 400 mails in 2 days, I checked every 2 days, and today back at work lots of issues...never mind, I am still glad I took the leave. I had fun. I enjoy and no regret :)

Thanks to colleague who backed me up, thanks to friends who made effort to meet up and spent time with us, especially Master who drove us around and intro us, so smart, 3 months there already can drive here n there. Also to Tan Sri who fetched me to SSum's wedding on X'mas eve.

Lately, I seem to have less time and passion for blogging. Maybe because I am fully utilising my personal time for more activities.

I have dancing, beadwork, weekends at New World Park to promote our creations, sometimes too tired to do anything, even watching a CD also cannot fully complete the 2 hours session...so many things to, very 'chuan' but I quite enjoy being busy this way. I mean, I still get to have fun, meet friends, be with ppl I love, learn new things, get more exposure...everyday is like a journey, never ending. I can say I enjoy life more compared to before.

One thing though...I still need to find time to sleep more....can I actually ? Hahaha...need to work on that ! Oh...I try to eat more healthy too....now taking Ginseng and less coffee. Maybe will tell more on the Ginseng thing later.....just started yesterday....if got good result, will share share.

Meanwhile, pls excuse my absence a bit ya....oh, pls help me pray for my dad's health. He has been sick, down with bad flu for almost a week. Getting better, hopefully fully recover soon.

I hope sis is coping well with her nursing job / assignments too.

Koko gave me a lovely bag, something I never expected he could buy, I mean in terms of taste...wow, it was beautiful and really what i would've chosen for myself! An early Christmas present :) He came with Wilfred (my nephew) on Sunday. Luckily I was still home, about to leave for New World Park. Spent half hour with Wilfred. They wanted to go Queensbay Mall. Felt sorry couldn't join them. Hope to see them again soon.

Trying time for me

I've been sick and feeling tired for 2 weeks. Some more kena perli from colleague...si pek beh shiok. Not that I lay on bed whole day, I was working from home and blewing my nose...KNS !! Ppl changes very fast...no matter how close they seemed to be, u can never be too surprised how fast they have changed.

So many things to do, so little time. Thank God I have two days off to catch up. But of coz...still need to login to work. Can't complain much. At least I get to catch up on my sleep and my flu is getting better. My only last chance to sleep in late coz will be super busy for 3 months.

Just hope I can manage between my work, dance and beads.
No more waking up late. Every weekend now will be at New World Park (flea market) with my biz partner. And had to steal time for dance practices for upcoming competition in Nov. And best part is....it's Quarter end now !! Perfect timing huh ?
These are so mentally and physically challenging for me. I hope I can survive through. I HAVE to, no matter what.

I ‘sat’ on the tar road with my two legs straight out and my notebook bags still on my back, my umbrella in hand, another shopping bag on my shoulder and sling back over another shoulder….it was as if I stepped onto a banana skin and jzzzuuuuuppp....sat down hard on my buttock. I was wearing flat sandals at that time.

My back hurts due to the fall; and the impact has also damaged my cellphone (in my bag) which I believe happened to ‘cushion’ my fall.

My hp’s LCD cracked and I cannot see half of the screen’s display. By right, I should be very upset, my fav. hp is damaged and I almost injured myself or broke a spine.

I raised this incident to EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) Manager, who then passed the issue to Facilities manager, who then said will look into it. First thing he asked was "u were wearing heels?" (trying to make me feel it was my own carelessness). They even asked me to suggest what can be done????!

Goodness…!! EHS manager asked if they should place a mat there? I asked him “how are the trolleys gonna pass?” He was silence for a while….in the end, I had to suggest for them to put a sign to alert employees / maybe only allow employees to use the other entrance with steps, instead on the other with slope. (Can’t belief they are 'sitting' at such high level ! )

Now, who will pity me if I have a fracture, injured my spine, bled ? Who will pity me that my hp is damaged ?

No one ! Neither would I pity myself. I am just so glad and thankful to God that my hp is damaged. If not for my sling bag which I have sat on during that fall, I could be lying in bed now for dunno how long. The umbrella could’ve poked/hurt me during the fall. But, I am happy that it’s only my hp that is broken and some pain in the butt….still painful leh.

I just wonder if what Facility and EHS is doing, no action, still no sign to alert (already 2 days after my complain)….no compensation / apology / nothing to me.

God saved me….I just hope no one else faces the same unfortunate incident. God Bless !

Who's to be Blamed?

When yr new staff / colleague made some mistakes, do u make him/her uncomfortable by putting all the blames on him/her?

This morning, a senior asked a junior (3 mths) to check on something. Then that senior wrote an email to shoot another dept based on the info given by that junior. Later, that dept shoot back that senior coz it turned out that dept really did their job, and the junior overlooked. Junior is not well versed with excel skills…does not know that need to ‘show all’ the data before Ctrl+F (it was in filter mode), thus thought the order was not in the list. That was before lunch.

We went down to cafeteria first…later Senior came to join us…as soon as the senior reached our table, in a very accused tone…. called the junior’s name….. “[Name…..]…… I am in deep trouble now….I kena shoot liao…why u didn’t check properly?”
U can see that junior’s face changed in a very worried, scared expression.

Senior continued to nag “Mon already 3 escalations, now this one….I am so embarrassed, how come u did not check first?”

Junior too worried and whispered to me “die ler die ler, I was so sure I checked, a few times also…how come….die ler…..” (when Senior went to buy lunch).
I told her not to worry too much, ppl make mistakes all the time.

Senior came back with his lunch…. Nag again…. “aiyo….i really dunno how to settle this, kena shoot already, how can u not check properly?”

I cannot tahan liao, I said “In the first place, when wanna shoot ppl, I would re-check again everything….. “

Senior 'denying' his own responsibilty, turned to Junior “I asked u to check right….?” (shook head) ….. “Now really dunno how, I kena liao”

I said “No big deal….just lay low and apologized for over-looking. Ppl learn from mistakes ma. Junior not familiar with Excel, next time be more careful lor”.

Senior “sigh….!” Shook head again and again.

I dun like this Senior’s attitude on this matter. When mistakes happen, as a senior, I believe we need to guide the juniors, let them learn and be aware, not make them feel scared / threatened. Moreover, I feel this Senior was too eager at the chance to escalate that dept, thus did not perform own checking. It’s simply unfair to let the junior take the whole blame. Very unprofessional….but that’s work life, sigh !

Year end is round the corner. I am thinking of visiting my relatives and friends in Australia.

I am still contemplating whether to stay at my second aunt’s place or rent a hotel. Sometimes it might not be that convenient to stay with your relatives for long.

Dancing all the Way

Still sick…last week flu, cough, vomitted 3 times a day.

Now still a little sick…feverish…but I won't stop dancing :)

I am so into dancing nowadays that my posture is different from before.
I stand straight more often now. I 'dance' when I walk, when I shower, even when I stand (in my mind…and my body tends to sway a litlle).

I even dream dancing. I do dancing posts with almost every gesture and step. I would have one leg standing straight with another pointed to the side. My hands automatically in 'throw' positions when I was walking (at home).
My hips will sway by itself…I would do slow turnings…spot turns….I cha-cha a little here and there on the way to my car…I 'rhumba' when I shampoo my hair….

Gee… I can't help it, competition in Nov….so little time, so many things to polish up.

Max is very 'tham ciak'. Every time I makan…anything…he will tail me from the hall to kitchen …anywhere I go la….really like 'kan mei kao' ( 'follow tail dog').

And if I am eating something and not giving him any….he will keep waiting…sometimes being impatient, Max will climb on my legs…that's when I shout "Down!"…then he will obediently (for 30 secs) sit and wait again….and pandai-pandai give me his front paws (take 5 - which dad taught him).

Today very pai seh. First...I went into men's toilet. The washroom nearer to my cube under cleaning progress....then I went to another one....I remembered the ladies used to be on the right....so I confidently and without checking, opened the door....I was stunned for few seconds when I saw a figure wearing light green long sleeves shirt and black pants....when I gathered myself, I lookep up to door sign....alamak ! No stick-like symbol wearing skirt wor.... I quickly took a step back and close the door...that guy was busy gargling with his head bent down....I thought I was lucky. Mana tau, turned left to ladies, saw a colleague I know...laughing at me....chia lat !

Later back at cube, I saw my cup almost empty, so I thought quickly finished off my coffee....I underestimate the amount of coffee...and was prepared to take a big gulp of it....mana tau...I sort of 'suck' too hard...including some air...which choked me, the coffee forced itself up and my cheeks already ballooned. I was trying hard not to spit out the coffee with the big cough almost exploded from my lungs and throat. I quickly reached for a tissue and immediately broke out a series of cough and 'pbttttttthhh' sound from my mouth. My colleague was laughing hard at me. I couldn't helping laughing at myself too....until my tummy ache. Lau ee drink water also kena choke, sigh !

Meow wanted to buy dog food for JJ. So, we went to Giant. As usual, we browsed around and place a lot of 'unintended purchase' items in the trolley. I was looking for mini corn for my hamster Yoda when I spotted celery....then I teasingly told Meow, "hey got your fav. vege wor...." His eyes sparkled..."ok let's cook"

Then, I happily selected some french beans as well....took a Lee Kum Kee oyster sauce, picked Tuna....called Dad to check whether we have garlic at home. Maklumlah, we hardly cook at home.

Meow stopped by his house to feed JJ while I took a few 'ulas' of garlic from his mom's kitchen. On the way home, bought eggs, onions and we are good to go.

Meow called his sister to ask her how to cook his favourite celery with tuna. He helped me cut the veges. I was 'crying' so much I look like weeping when I peeled and cut the onions. I told Meow I can audition for Taiwan movie :P

It was fun but a little tiring cooking. My dishes emmm....ok ok nya. Luckily the celery with Tuna still can tahan and the French Beans with oyster sauce ok la. The rest...not good la...too long didn't cook liao. Here's the pix...sorry, forgot to take before makan :P

Oh...dad called after his church to ask if I wanted Nasi Lemak. I told him "no need, just now I cook"
He asked "you what?" I said "I cook" Dad "Huh???!!!!" Me "heh...."

Ya la...it sounded like a big surprise :P

I love Chillies...I love anything spicy. In fact, I dun have much appetite if the food on my plate has no hint of chillies in it. If there's no curry or chilli sauce, well, at least give me sambal or cili padi.

Beef Noodles craze

Few days ago, I tried the Beef noodles at Golden Happy Kopitiam (corner shop, Lip Sin, same row with Ayamas, UPS, Milkyway bakery, facing main road). This is night time. Good la, now at night I can eat beef noodlees also. U can order rice also la.

I ordered medium size, it's a lot and as much as big size of the Bomba's place.

My Rating :

Beef meat/balls: I prefer this one.

Soup : I still prefer the other one.

Chilli : I prefer this one

Rating : 7/10

Yeah....now I don't have to wait for months in case I crave for beef noodlees. But the drawbacks abt the shop (not the beef noodle stall) is that....the toilet also need to pay RM 0.20. I thought toilet is FOC for customers ma. So, make sure u 'PJ' / 'PS' first somewhere else first before u go there la.

2 weeks ago, I was real sick (for 2nd time). Went to Klinik Malaysia at Kg. Jawa. Sako fetched me there. As we were leaving, my aunt pointed to something inside the drain. And mind you, this is not something ordinary we get to see everyday. And this is not something you will find in the drain.

I guess the owner just don't wanna loose his / her bicycle and doesn't mind the dirty, oily, yucky drain. Too bad I've accidentally deleted the picture.

I cleared my room some time ago, and I found this huge soft-toy pillow, a Christmas Present from Ken few years ago. It had turned yellow...I wanted to throw away but it would be a waste.

So I gave it to Max. He was a little afraid of it at first....but later...he got used to it and had fun playing with it, hehe. Didn't know dog also love soft toys. :P

Famous Beef Noodles in Penang

Last Thurs, I was on leave. It was golden opportunity for me to spoil my taste buds with my favourite Beef Noodles. This is so so sooooooo good compared to others I've tried. I think it's open on Weekdays, not sure about Saturday though coz I don't wake up until after the sun shine onto my bump :P But, Public Holidays (PH) definitely tak buka, so don't waste your effort going on PH.

I ordered big bowl (RM 8) without Spare parts (internal organs). It's quite a long wait. Between 15 mins to 45 mins. As you can see, the shop is always full and sometimes you have to wait a while before finding available table/seats.

I forgot to take note of the shop's name. It's just opposite (corner shop) the Balai Bomba and at the junction of Chulia Steet and Beach Street. Oh...you might not want to wear too thick or long sleeves if you choose to makan there, you'll feel like in the sauna...but then again....it's worth the wait and hassles la....that is....if....you like beef noodles.

28th May, I was at Prangin Mall for FRS event. I went to find Emily, hoping she's still working at the same Starbucks outlet. Indeed she is...as I was chatting with her, halfway, she asked her staff to make me a Frappuccino Espresso...I told her I've purchased one, "ohh...ok, next time see her, make her one ok" (she told her staff). Wow...I feel so special...she actually remembers my regular drink. I gave her a pair of earrings I made.

She has been promoted. Happy for her. I went back to my seat to join Tan Sri. 5 mins later, Emily came with this VIP invitation.

So, on 9th June, I sacrificed few hours of sleep, headed first to town and then to e-gate. Reached there around 2.30pm, still not started. Called Master, he said ok coming...Ordered a Frappuccino Choc Chip while we waited...3pm, Master still at home...aiyo...quick lah, I pestered him.

Meow had no choice but to join me for the Summer Escape's kick off promo.

1st booth :

We were introduced the yummy smooth Azuki Summer Slice and delicious Azuki Scone. I like the scone, it tastes just nice, not too sweet, and not too dry.

Each of the VIP customer got to throw 2 balls to collect points, and we got 2 boxes of chocolates (gave one to Master later). Spent around 10 mins there.

Master came just as we moved to 2nd booth. The staff so nice, let Master join in.

2nd booth :

We got to taste the new Azuki Frappuccino. The taste of smooth blended red bean is sensational. I like it coz it's not too sweet. Ya, I guess by now u know I don't fancy sweet stuff. We were asked to pick a red bean from a bag of beans (mixture). I wasn't so lucky, 3 times I picked green bean. But they're so nice, they still gave me a free drink voucher for trying. In fact, everyone got a at least one free voucher.

3rd booth :

Here, we got to sample Tanzania and Arabian Mocha coffee (mind you, no added sugar or cream). You should see Master's and Meow's expression...haha.

4th booth :

They took the opportunity to promote Starbucks' merchandise. We were entitled for 30% discount for that day. They gave us quiz and chance to win more free vouchers. Shioknya !!

After all the fun, we were treated light tea. Thanks to Emily and Starbucks and employees. See u again soon !

Emil Chow - Queensbay Mall, June 9, 07

Last Sat - 9th June, together with Meow and Master, we accompanied Datin to watch her idol Emil Chow. We got there 8.10pm, already a lot of ppl gathered near the stage and u can see every floor...lotsa 'ants'. We went to the highest floor to try our luck...ngam ngam ho...can squeeze a bit. Waited for Emil to appear. When he came, we can hardly see...coz our view was only half of the stage.

5 mins later, Meow disappeared...he was trying to get a better view....ya...in fact, very good view. He went downstairs and squeezed his way among the crowd...and luckily he's tall. Thanks to Meow for the pictures.

New Parking Style

Last Thurs, when I was about to reach my car after work, something caught my attention. Seems like now Mr 6xxx has a new member.

What surprised me more was…the following morning, I saw the 3rd new member. But I also wonder why Mr 6xxx did not park at row 18. Maybe 'beh shiok' got ppl copy him…so he parked at row 17. In fact yesterday also he parked at rom 17…maybe change of period…like Feng Shui, so probably 17 is luckier now. Hmm...I am still curious why they park like this...
